Real-time monitoring for wind turbines and solar plants.
Rook SCADA streams live data from every turbine, inverter and string you operate into a single web dashboard — across OEMs, across sites, on any device.
What is real-time wind turbine monitoring?
Real-time wind turbine monitoring is the continuous collection of live operating data — power output, wind speed, status and faults — from each turbine, sent to a central system as it happens. In Rook SCADA, a Rook RTU at each machine reads the controller and sends the data over a SIM-based mobile link or fibre to a web dashboard that operators, supervisors and owners can open from anywhere.
Rook has delivered remote wind SCADA over the mobile network since 2006, with hundreds of installations from Gujarat to Tamil Nadu. The same platform monitors solar plants down to string level.
Everything happening on your plant, on one screen
Built for owners whose turbines are spread across districts and states, and whose fleets mix manufacturers and vintages.
-
01
Central monitoring
See all sites and turbines at a glance. Geographically scattered turbines come together on a single webpage.
-
02
Multi-OEM in one view
Different OEM models and capacities sit side by side, so you compare machines without switching between vendor tools. See OEM compatibility.
-
03
Parallel monitoring
Head office and site office watch the same live data at the same time, so decisions don’t wait for a phone call.
-
04
Solar string monitoring
Track inverters and individual strings to find under-performing sections of a solar array early.
-
05
Any device, anywhere
Web-based monitoring means no software to install. Open the dashboard from a desktop, tablet or phone.
-
06
Live data to your SLDC
Share real-time generation data with your state’s SLDC. Rook is a recognised data aggregator for the Tamil Nadu SLDC.
How real-time monitoring works
Four links in the chain, all designed, supplied and supported by Rook.
-
01
Read
A Rook RTU connects to each turbine controller or inverter and reads its live operating data.
-
02
Transmit
Data travels over an M2M SIM on the mobile network, or over fibre where it’s available.
-
03
Aggregate
Rook’s remote server gathers every site into one database, on-premise or in the cloud.
- 04
What you can see in real time
Typical data points on a Rook SCADA dashboard. The exact list depends on what each OEM controller or inverter exposes, and we map it during the site survey.
Wind turbines
- Wind speed
- Wind direction
- Active power
- Rotor speed
- Generator speed
- Temperatures
- Operating status
- Fault codes
- Cumulative generation
Solar plants
- AC & DC power
- Voltage & current
- String currents
- Inverter status
- Fault codes

Real-time Monitoring: common questions
Yes. Rook SCADA brings different OEM models and capacities into a single webpage. Supported wind OEMs include Suzlon, Enercon, Vestas, Siemens Gamesa and ReGen Powertech — see the full OEM compatibility list.
No. Rook RTUs communicate over SIM-based mobile links, so scattered turbines don’t need a cable back to a control room. Fibre can be used where you already have it, and solar plants can also use RF.
Yes. Parallel monitoring lets head office and site office view the same live data simultaneously, each with their own login and access level.
Yes. Rook’s solution meets CEA and SLDC communication and security requirements, and Rook is a recognised data aggregator for the Tamil Nadu SLDC.
Yes. The same platform monitors solar inverters and individual strings, so wind and solar assets can sit in one portfolio view.
